How to Kill Unhealthy Sugar Cravings

Bookmark and Share

All sweets are not bad for the record, there are just certain types of sweets that are healthy to do with out.
Sweets that are bad: pastries, candy, soda, some juices (juice your vegetables and eat your fruits), gum, water ice, ice cream
Sweets that are good: fruits, smoothies, roasted nuts, some juices (juices that have vegetables in them), energy bars, sugarless gum, herbal tea, green tea
Note: This list is not complete, ask if you have any questions

For the juices, I would stick to orange juice, hi-c, prunce juice, cranberry juice, any of the v8 juices including the splashes & fusions, apple juice is okay, and other juices that are obviously healthy. If you want to make your own juices make sure that you have a mixture of fruits and vegetables (the fruits always overpower the vegetables).

Rules that you should follow
  • When you have an urge for sweets, go for it as long as you pick the good sweets. Your body has the urge for sweets because it needs them.
  • Always carry the good sweets with you, so you are less likely to eat the bad.
  • Think about your body. Does it need anymore of the wrong things? Is it going to help me reduce my medical bills in this recessions?
  • Pay yourself. Cheat every now and then.
What I Do to Kill Sugar Cravings
I chew trident, sugar less gum, to get rid of my sugar cravings. It is sweet and is very long lasting. I aslo think of the pros and cons of having certain sweets. I know that certain sweets will cause my skin to break out so, I know to stay away from them. I also might not feel like burning it off.

Build a Meal With a "Green" Theme

Bookmark and Share

A great idea for a St. Patrick's Day Celebreation is to build your food based on a "green" theme. You can still have the traditional meal; just green it up a little bit. Some ideas are: Spinach, asparagus, any leafy greens, potatoes or rice with parsley, and a minty green dessert.

You can even create your own meal with the foods listed below and if you do not know how to make something you can type it in in my how to cook anything search engine listed along the side of my blog; it should be the first one to the very right.
